5 years experience0 projects worked United States of America (USA)
My name is Jaime Torres. I am a multi award winning cinematographer, and camera operator, with over 5 years of experience.
I started out as a freelance videographer over the past three years, and have transitioned towards the art of cinematography, after attending New York Film Academy with a degree in the Cinematography program, where I gained knowledge of film and digital, from inception to completion.
Throughout my career, I have shot various shorts, commercials, a couple of short documentaries, whether they were run and gun shoots, including shooting for several segments for Bonnie Boswell reports for PBS SoCal. I also had won several awards as Director and Director of Photography, including a Silver award for best cinematography at Los Angeles Shorts Awards. Throughout my time as a cinematographer, I have worked with all kinds of budgets, from low budgets, to working in studios with higher end lights and cameras, whether they were student or professional, to even working with smaller crews. I am also proficient with story boarding, creating lighting plans, and coordinating shots.
The cameras that I’ve used, range from Digital to Film, such as, Arri 535, and Arriflex 16mm, Red cinema camera, like the Scarlet, Canon C-300 Mark II, Dragon, Arri Alexa, A7s, Canon 5D mark iii, FS7, Panasonic GH4. I currently own a Blackmagic Mini Ursa 4.6K, along with six prime lenses, a 24 – 105mm zoom lens. I also currently own my own G&E kit as well, including Arri Lights.
Overall, I really consider myself as enthusiastic, creative; and also demonstrate an ability to achieve objectives within strict dead-lines. I value the chance to be able to build quality among production in order to enhance creativity, and growth. Look forward to hearing, and I will be in your service to enhance your vision. Thank you.
